This is a photo
from the spring of 1945. The men in the photo were members of the
Buccaneers (they also had a football team) sandlot baseball team. The
photo was taken in the open lot opposite Resurrection School, a place
where the apartment buildings now stand. In the upper left hand corner of
the photo you can see the outline of Resurrection School. The telephones
poles in the background are running along Gerritsen Avenue.
