The picture is me (Jim Fetter). Winter of 1957-1958, 41 Garland Court backyard. There is a classic movie "A Christmas Story." The entire story revolves around a young kid wanting a "Red Rider" BB gun advertised in the comic books. The conservative mom always tells the boy he can't have a BB gun because "He'll shoot his eye out." There is a scene in this movie where the mom is dressing the boy and his younger brother in the classic 40s/50s snow suits. My kids can't watch the movie "A Christmas Story " without bring this picture up. I never had a BB gun, because my mom always said "You'll shoot your eye out." Just like the movie.
