| This shot of Bob Catherwood in
the wading pool at the park by P.S. 277 in 1952 or 1953 brings back a lot of memories,
mostly of skinned knees from falling on the concrete. They had shower nozzles on either
side when I played there in the 1940s, and the challenge was to see how long you could sit
on them before someone else insisted on taking your place. The water froze in the winter
