This shot of Bob Catherwood in the wading pool at the park by P.S. 277 in 1952 or 1953 brings back a lot of memories, mostly of skinned knees from falling on the concrete. They had shower nozzles on either side when I played there in the 1940s, and the challenge was to see how long you could sit on them before someone else insisted on taking your place. The water froze in the winter and we would ice skate. (Courtesy Bob Catherwood)
