| First annual Mother's Day dinner held by the Bachelors Club around 1946-1947 at the Cort Club. The story behind this picture is that after WW II, a group of the GB vets banded together socially and started an ad hoc club called the Bachelors Club. To show their appreciation, on Mothers Day they had a big shindig for them and their moms at the Cort Club. The backlash from this was that their siblings (particularly their sisters) were not too happy with this situation. Back row: Harry Lahey, Tommy Gavin, Joe Duffy, Seamus Pentony. Middle row: ?, ?, Mrs, Lahey, Mrs. Gavin, Mrs. Duffy, Mrs. Pentony, ?, Jim Duffy, ?, John Devine Sr, ?. Seated row: Mrs. Donnelley (not seen), Mrs. O'Brien, Mrs. McHugh, Mrs. Flanagan, Mrs. Shea, ?, ?, ?, ?, Ellen Roach, ?, ?.
