Bill Jaeger; Although I never lived in Gerritsen Beach I had a boat there and spent most of my time in Gerritsen Beach and or MauMau/Deadhorse island. It was from about the time I was 14-20 (1968-1974). The boat was docked at the end of Gotham Avenue. I don't really remember the homeowner/dock name but think it was Ryan. He was a great guy and only charged me 100 dollars a year for the slip. (They were much more than that, but he took it easy on me since I was only 14). I built my boat, Kathy B, when I was 13-14. I spent the best years of my life on it. I was pals with the kids at the Tamaqua. Later on in years I formed a band called Three Fingers Whiskey and played some weddings at the Tamaqua. One wedding was for the son of one of the kids who worked at the Tamaqua. Don't remember his name either but "Chris" rings a bell. I also had my engagement part at the Duffy Post. In the photo you can see the bridge connecting Mau Mau and the golf course on Flatbush Ave. It was taken in June of 1970. (Courtesy Bill Jaeger)
