Meadows Beach also was a pleasure spot of mine. It was at the foot of Everett Ave. The last Ct. before the water there was Lacon Ct. On Lacon Ct there was a little boat rental place named the Riveria. The Rivera rented small outboard motor boats for fishing. I find it humorous at this moment thinking about this fine beach named the Meadows and the Rivera. Directly across the water less than 100 yards was the Knapp Street sewage treatment plant. There are some related stories already posted about following the barges. Diving from them was also a challenge. Ritche Pisita's family owned the corner house and dock. That's another story.
