The Graham tickets were something like 11 cents when I started going on my own. The Saturday serials were great, but the only movie I remember was Creature from the Black Lagoon. There were murals of desert scenes on the walls; I think one of them was a camel.
I do remember the popsicle sticks from the ice cream man at PS 194. If you had a star on it, you got a free popsicle.
In fact I remember more about PS 194's yard at lunch hour than I do about classes. There was the year fuschia and chartreuse made their first debut on girl's socks. The pledge of allegiance and when they changed it to include "under God." When the flag was updated with additional stars.
The girls all played jump rope, which I failed miserably at. I got the hang of it after everyone else my age outgrew it.
