I had a clasmate at 207 who lived just south of Avenue U on what would have been the Eastern short of Gerritsen Beach (Bay?). He lived in what seemed like a squatter's shack but the kid Jon Guberman, did not seem particularly unhappy. Like my family, nobody told us that we were not among the wealthy middle class. Has anyone ever heard of him or knows anything about the homes behind the gas stations. Approximate dates for above memories 1950-1955. Don't remember the name of that neighborhood, but I'm sure it had a nickname due to its location.
