This past winter Buddy DeWitt took a picture of a dolphin swimming near Mau Mau Island.
Does anyone remember the shark the the canal? I forget what year, but I remember my mother telling my father that she saw a fin swimming down the canal during the night. My father was very skeptical. But sure enough, a gentleman on the Gotham side caught him the next day and had him hanging from a tree in his yard for days. It was a large shark.
Does anyone remember the whale near Tamaqua? I saw a picture (maybe from the 30s) of many men standing on the carcus. I story said something about trying to dispose of the body and the stench it gave off.
