Gerritsen Beach had a monthly publication through the 40s,50s and 60s known as "The Beach News". It was sold in the local stores. The literary value may have been questionable, but it was an attempt to make news official. I have no idea who published it, but I do think it was a monthly periodical. I bet there is someone out there that has some insight to this publication. Wouldn't it be great to get some of the old issues?
