I just posted Bill McKeon's story about Ben Polay, which you can access from the Memories page's Stories listings. Did anyone else work in the Gerritsen Avenue stores and have anecdotes to tell? I worked in the library for a while, which led to my fascination with science fiction after I spotted Heinlin's Martian Chronicles on the shelf I was checking.
Does anyone know the history of the Vollies? The Civic Club? The Cort Club?
