I remember the motocycle gang well.I had baseball practice that day and I was on the pitching mound pitching. From the down the right field line, you could hear the rumble of the Harleys approaching the Little league field. In those days, there were dirt hills next to the left and right field foul poles. The excess dirt was used to cover the wet spots on the infield when needed.Anyway,as the harleys approached, they used the dirt hills to scale the left and right field fenses. At that time, all the kids on the field started to run for cover. Our catcher started to scale the backstop but then thought better of it.The Bikers took a few laps on the field just circling.I do not know if it was their intentions to scare the hell out of the kids on the field, myself included, but they did a good job at it.They left upon hearing a rumble heading up the dirt road toward the field. It was a good number of beachites all armed with bats, chains and any hand weapons they could muster. The beachites finally caught up to the bikers in a sand dune just past the little league field. There battle was waged. Many bikers were injured. All this as my little league team was trying to practice.I never forgot that day,I dont think the bikers did either
