Chances are you'll meet someone else from Brooklyn by reading them in a public place. Fifty percent of new clients or vendors at my last job (in publishing) turned out to be from Flatbush. Though none of them had heard of Gerritsen Beach; I always had to explain that it was next to Sheepshead Bay.
