I forgot to mention the name of the book in the preceding message It is Brooklyn's Gold Coast, The Sheepshead bay Communities by Brian Merlis,Lee A. Rosenzweig and I. Stephan Miller. Published by the Sheepshead Bay Historical Society There is another book with pictures of the Old Mill and Whitney Mansion on Pg 30 and 31 the book is Images of America, Gravesend Brooklyn, coney Island and sheepshead Bay. On Pg 30 there is a panorama of th Mill and Mansion Taken from a boat, a beautiful picture of both. And a separate picture of the Mill and the Mansion with the servants quarters in the rear, published by Arcadia Publishing one Washington center Dover NH 03820. Two great books. I have another dated 1906 by the Sheepshead bay Chamber of commerce extoling the Sheepshead Bay Area. Jack
