There is a book published by the Sheepshead bay Historical Society with pg's 99 to 107 covering a complete story of the whitney property, with pictures of the mansion and other surrounding buildings and a section on Gerritsen beach with a photo of the Tamaqua clubhouse when it was simply called the Clubhouse and bathing beach in front. Wonderful tals of GB and Sheepshead bay, the real stuff. For info on the book Brian Merlis 516-593-4505 My dtr bought it at Prices in 1997.
