I just put up a photo of the barge at the Point, but I have no recollection of the story that goes with it. I can see in the photo, taken in the 1970s, I think, that it's buried much deeper in the sand than when I was a kid.
Also, we just got a Guestbook message that what we've been calling the Whitney mansion was really the servants' quarters. I remember that notion, but is it true?
